Nestled on the corner of a quiet neighborhood in Manchester, Connecticut, we made plans for our first baby. Husband & Wife for four years, we longed to be Mommy and Daddy.
After struggling on our own to get pregnant, we knew the road ahead was difficult. Our first and only IVF cycle resulted in nervous excitement. It had worked, and we were overjoyed at the idea of our new little “panda” growing inside.
19 weeks later, devastation overshadowed excitement when Dziko George joined us too soon. Holding onto tiny hands and tiny toes, our hearts were broken.
A year passed, and with heavy hearts and exhausted minds, we began looking into adoption. The road ahead of us is not a straight one. It is filled with hills, and turns, and twists. Interviews, paperwork, and fees. It’s also a road filled with family and friends there to help us along our journey.
It’s a road we will walk together, with Dziko’s spirit in between.
